Q. |
What is LinkChoir? |
|
A. |
LinkChoir
provides a perfect solution to the most significant
shortcoming of traditional thesaurus construction
systems - the lack of integration of thesaurus terms
with information sources that need to be indexed by the
thesaurus. It is fairly common for corporations to
spend hundreds of thousands of dollars building a
thesaurus, but be unable to use it effectively because
of the difficulty in integrating the thesaurus with
external information sources. LinkChoir is the crucial
tool that allows other applications to globally access
and use thesaurus descriptors to index the database
records in these applications, providing the only answer
to this persistent problem. |

|
Q. |
What is required to run LinkChoir? |
|
A. |
LinkChoir comes in two versions. One is Web-based,
allowing integration with any Web-based applications,
and the other is based on a Windows API, enabling
integration with any Windows client. The Web-based
version requires only a Web server and a browser. The
Windows API version works with any Windows client that
supports a Windows API. Since both versions work with
XML, they don't even require a DBMS to store your
thesaurus data, if you choose XML as your data storage
format. |

that are designed and optimized for ViewChoir,
LinkChoir, and SeekChoir.. |
|
|
|
|
Q. |

LinkChoir?
|
|
A. |
