XML Import Wizard provides a step to step setup for user to import XML data source into ConceptChoir. To use XML Import Wizard to import a XML source, first select XML Import Wizard to be the selected template in the Template dropdown menu of Import Manager. ConceptChoir will then automatically open XML Import Wizard to guide the user through the import process. The XML Import Wizard takes three steps to complete the import. Step 1 - General Information (Figure 1)
In
step 1, user will need to specify the source location, source
default language, to which
vocabulary, facet/hierarchy to import to. After completing necessary
setting, click Next button to proceed to Step 2. Click
Cancel button to cancel all changes and exit the wizard
without import.
Step 2 - Tag Mapping (Figure 2)
Tag
Mapping step holds the key to the XML Import. ConceptChoir will
list the system concept construction in the System concept
construction box in the left, and ConceptChoir will also
analysis the source file and list the file construction in the
XML file construction box. To map elements and attributes, use
simply drag the element or attribute from the XML file
construction and drop to the intended element or attribute it
should be mapped to. For example, in the above presentation, if
user would like to map the "Concept" element from the XML file
construction to System Concept Construction, user simply drag
the element and drop to the "Concept" element in the System
concept construction box. Figure 3 shows the results of this
mapping.
To unmapped an element, simply check off the checkbox in front of the element to complete the unmapping. After setting up all the tag mapping, click Next button to proceed to Step 3. Click Cancel button to cancel all changes and exit the wizard without import. Step 3 - Import
In
step 4, click Import button to import the XML source into
ConceptChoir. Click prev
button to go back to tag mapping section to make changes to the
mapping.
Click Cancel button to cancel all changes and exit the
wizard without import.
