Simple ASCII Export

Simple ASCII Export allows you to export your chosen vocabulary concepts with limited elements to ASCII file(s). To export your data to a Simple ASCII format, first choose Simple ASCII to be the selected template in the Template dropdown menu of Export Manager. After setting the export scope from the Export Scope section of the Export Manger, to use all the default setting for the export, you can click Export button to export your data to simple ASCII file(s), or you can click the Option button to update the export setting for Simple ASCII Export.

To change the Simple ASCII Export setting, click Option button to open the Export Option Window for Simple ASCII Export as shown in Figure 1.

As the above Figure 1 suggested, you can skip elements by deselect the checkbox in front of the elements that you want to exclude, and you can update the Tag information of elements by modify the Tag field value following the element. You can also set your Group break symbol in the Group break field. Here is a list of Simple ASCII Export supported element details:

ROOT - Term Root
ID - Term ID
PTERM - Preferred Term
NPTERM - Non-preferred Term
UFA - Used For Plus Term
PBT - Preferred Broader Term
NPBT - Non-preferred Broader Term
NT - Narrower Term
RT - Related Term
NOTE - Term Note

When you satisfy with your export setting, click the OK button to save the changes and exit the option window. The export preview in Export Manager will also be updated to reflect the changes you have made. Click Cancel button to cancel all pending changes and exit the export option window.
