Configure
Web Search Engines
In order to use ConceptChoir Web Search function, Web Search Engines
must be defined first. To define web search enignes, you must first select
Web Search Engine from ConceptChoir Manager
Main Menu (Figure 1) to open the Web Search Engine Manager window as shown in Figure
2.

To
add an Web Search Engine, click the
button to add a new set of Web Search
Engine. Click
the
button to delete the engines. If there are more than one languages
supported by this vocabulary, you will need to use the
button to add a the Web Search Engine in another language and in similar
fashion,
button to remove the stage in the selected language.
Here is
an example of how to add a customized Web Search Engine:

Perform a web search with the engine to add: here we use Getty
Museum Collection search engine as an example, see the Figure 3
for search results:

Click the
sign to add a new set of search engine.

In Site field,
fill in "Getty Museum" or any other code that you want to
identify it with.

In your browser
window, copy the address string till your search terms. In our
case, the string will be
"http://search.getty.edu:18765/museum/query.html?col=museum&nh=5&pw=100%25&lk=1&qt=".

Paste the string
you copied from previous step into the SEARCHURL field.

For some search
engines, there will be string after your search terms. In that
case, you will need to copy the string AFTER your search terms
and paste it into the SYNTAX field.

If more languages
are supported, repeat step 4 to 6 for all other languages.

Once finished all
editing, click OK button to save the new Web Search
Engine and close the window.
