ASCII Import Wizard provides a step to step setup for user to import ASCII data source into ConceptChoir. To use ASCII Import Wizard to import a ASCII source, first select ASC Import Wizard to be the selected template in the Template dropdown menu of Import Manager. ConceptChoir will then automatically open ASCII Import Wizard to guide the user through the import process. The ASCII Import Wizard takes four steps to complete the import. Step 2 - Tag Mapping (Figure 2)
Tag

under Internal label is not editable. They are the default
element labels defined by ConceptChoir. User must map the
tag correctly so that ConceptChoir can recognize the element
during the import. For example, in your ASCII source file, you
use MD to label the Modify Date element of the concept. You
would need to do the mapping in the Tag Mapping step. First
locate the Modify Date under the Internal Label field, then
update the corresponding User Defined Label field with "MD". If
your source file has record separator, please indicate the
separator in the Record Separator field. Also please provide the
data format of the data source in the Data Format field. After
setting up all the tag mapping, click Next button to
proceed to Step 3. Click Prev button to go back to Step 1
to make changes to previous setting. Click Cancel button
to cancel all changes and exit the wizard without import.
Step 3 - Descriptor Information (Figure 3)
Step

Children Order. User can map the stage, status and children
order using the code in the source file if applicable, or choose
a default setting for these setting when such information are
absent in the source file. After setting up all the information,
click Next button to proceed to Step 4. Click Prev
button to go back to Step 2 to make changes to previous setting.
Click Cancel button to cancel all changes and exit the
wizard without import.
Step 4 - UF and UFA information (Figure 2)
In
the final step of the ASCII Import Wizard, user need to specify
the UF and UFA setting. If UF term is also presented as a record
in the source file, user need to indicate so by checking the "Is
UF also record?" checkbox and add UF tag and UF USE tag in the
text fields. If UFA term is also presented as a record in the
source file, user need to indicate so by checking the "Is UFA
